User’s notes
- Either 1, 2 or 4 springs are used, depending on the force needed to keep your parallels in place.
- Add the minimal # of springs to get the job done. The more springs you have, the more chips or debris that may build up in the coils of the springs.
- Correct placement location of the spring(s) on your parallel(s) will provide the best results.
- Spring pressure applied minimizes the movable jaw raising or lift which happens during traditional clamping. This will increase accuracy. Please keep the springs as high as possible in your vise.
- For single parallel use, the highest accuracy will be achieved if you keep your parallel next to the solid vise jaw.
